Not bad. Only seen four Alfred Hitchcock movies, and I'm a fan. I will be reviewing the movie that got Hitchcock recognized (and the first movie of his I saw), The 39 Steps.
Richard Hannay (Robert Donat) helps hide spy Annabella Smith (Lucie Mannheim), who is being chased by assassins. That evening, Annabella is murdered. Hannay flees, and tries to find what the "thirty-nine steps" Annabella mentioned are. While eludign police, Hannay continually runs into a woman named Pamela (Madeleine Carroll).
Although it's a Hitchcock movie, it didn't thrill me enough. But disregarding that, it's still a good movie.
My Rating: ****
