The blog formerly known as 'Life of a Cinephile and Bibliophile'
When I came over here from RottenTomatoes I came with about 5-6 people so I had a bit of a head start, but the fact that I'm a comment whore (evident here) I find generates a good amount of backtracking views and helped me build what readerbase I have.Oh, and also if you go on rants it tends to attract people, especially if their amusing :)
I agree with Univarn. I just started a couple of months ago as well, and I try to comment as often as possible. One thing I also try to do is respond to comments readers put on my blog. In my opinion, it is a respectful thing to do because the readers feel that their comments are being read and thought about.
@Univarn and Danny King: Thank you for the advice!
It's hard out there for a blogger. I think it was about three months before I got my first comment so yeah it takes time. But chin up, it'll improve. Polls or request posts will work...and as mentioned before comment often. But don't comment for commenting sake, something good.
