It's a fine example of a taut drama that works just SO well at this critical close. The cast does great (and Myers is a younger actor who's better than he's been pretending to be recently). <br /><br />And, I'll always cheer on Scarlett. Though I remember some of his other films, like Hannah and Her Sisters (which came out in the mid 80s) as having a dark, edgy side. <br /><br />I really liked Matchpoint, and like you I was surprised by its noirish elements. I loved the irony of where the ring fell changing his fate, but not in the way you'd expect.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
